With the social development and progress,profound changes have taken place in the field of the teaching profession of tertiary vocational colleges,which causes extensive impacts.Teachers',esp.newly-employed teachers' professional psychological development has become an important factor that affects the teaching effect.This research on the professional psychological motivation and professional adaptability,by way of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,on the spot interview,collecting data and processing with statistics,is to probe into the status quo of newly-employed teachers in the vocational colleges of their professional psychological motivation and professional adaptability:(1)Generally,the newly-employed teachers' motivation is positive and healthy.Most of them have a fight attitude to the teaching profession and its value,and are active in work to realize the unity of personal value and social value.However,there are still some new teachers who,according to the professional evaluation,have the tendency of material gain and individualism,seeking their personal objectives without measure.As a result,those teachers cannot set their heart at rest in teaching.Types of professional interests of the newly-employed teachers match highly the teaching profession,but there exist individual differences.The newly-employed teachers appreciate multiplicity in professional value,and take on individuality.They pay attention to both dedication and gain,think more of material benefit,but less of "social status".(2)The newly-employed teachers have better comprehensive professional adaptability.Judging by the four layers, they have better person-to-person adaptability,theory,satisfaction in work and strong desire in self-development,but they have difficulty in ability adjustment and role-changing. Meanwhile,tertiary vocational colleges have set higher standards in operational procession and criterion.This research,based on result of analysis,puts forward the target,content, technology and methods,and steps of psychological guidance to the newly-employed teachers at vocational colleges,so as to provide support and use for reference in theory and practice for teaching profession psychology.
