Stepping into the 21st century, every country has regarded the scientific inquiry as the most important teaching goal and method of the elementary science education during the innovation of international science education. In a sense, it requires more both for students and teachers. Those students who will be teachers after graduation shoulder heavy missions and responsibilities for education. At the same time, they are lack of enough training and practicing. Thus it is urgent to improve the capacities of scientific inquiry and teaching, in order to satisfy the requirements of future education. In this thesis, we will pay more attention to the emotional experience to investigate into the science inquiry ability of students in teacher education program.First of all, the writer specifies the limits of the related definitions of science inquire ability and other elements, through the questionnaire and interviews. After that we try to give a description of the current situation of students'science inquiry ability, based on the ability-test and interviews to the students in teacher education program. Finally, we analyze the effect of emotional experience on how to foster the science inquiry ability and practicing ability, in order to give some teaching suggestions for effective ways in fostering the science inquiry ability of students.Base on the statistic of the investigation on students'science inquiry ability, it is not optimistic for their science inquiry level, in term of lacking of the enough ability to discover questions, estimate results and propose hypothesis and even the observing ability. Generally speaking, the essential factors of science inquiry ability develop in an unbalanced way. Different majors directly lead to different levels of science inquiry abilities. Other factors are involved in affecting students'ability as follows: high grade students are better than the low grade; the boy students are better than the girls; experienced students are better than the ones with such experience. In the process of fostering students'practical ability, it is obvious that the emotional experience have some positive influence in improving their ability of observation, investigation, estimation, and proposing hypothesis. However each coin has two sides. We should clarify the fact students may attribute the successful achievement to negative factors such as luck, resulting in negative influence to the intrinsic motivation of science inquiry. Therefore we should help students not only focus on their emotional experience but also attribute the success to positive factors, aiming at strengthening positive influence to the motivation and improving their abilities of science inquiry.
