Literary education in China has a long history.But after 1949, literary education in the development of Chinese education was not always very successful, there was too insisted there was also shaken.As a foundation of literary education our Chinese textbook has been disputed for many years.New curriculum reform of elementary education has been going on for seven years . "Senior High School Chinese Curriculum Standards (experimental)" states an all-round improvement of students' Chinese attainments.And also put forwards new requirements for the Chinese textbook and the literary education.The Chinese textbook on the Chinese Curriculum Standards in senior high school was used in four provinces in 2004.Based on the study of literary education ,the Chinese textbook studies in our country , education,psychology and other related theory, this study attempts to analyze the new Chinese textbook for senior high school edited by Peoples Education Press .Firstly,the study concerns the conception of the literary education,its target in high school.Then it will study about the essential framework,the text-selection system,the knowledge system,the exercise system and the reading-aid system of the Chinese textbook.The essential framework consists of the compilation background,the compilation idea,the description and presentation of the structure of this Chinese textbook .The knowledge system contains the content of the literary and the arrangement of the knowledge..The text-selection system contains the amount and quality of text, and the arrangement of the text.The reading-aid system includes the clew of study,unit instruction, appendix information, and the masterpiece reading-aid. The exercise system is based on the theories of constructivism and cognitive psychology.In this part the author probe into the amount of exercises,the degree of difficulty and the features of the exercise.In the end of this thesis,the author concludes the succession of this textbook and try to give some improvements about this textbook.
