With the enlargement of the higher education scale, our high education structure has stepped from elite education to the popular education stage. The number of students in financial difficulties edges higher with the increase of total student numbers. These students' issue is not only for their own concerns, but for thousands of families, academic institutions, and social stabilities as well. It is about education equality and construction of a harmonious society. Our country has established financial aid systems for the poor students, integrating "Award, Loans, Work-study, grant, relief as a whole. The state, government, and institutions all take corresponding financial aid actions to help these students out of their financial shortage, and reach some achievements. However, since most poor students occupies a large ratio in total number, how to solve problems of studies and jobs for these students, how to realize their study pursuits and job searching relying on financial support and social welfare, how to optimize the structure arrangement for current studies and career are new topics we are faced with.This article investigates in current situations of study and career pursuits of the students in poverty through finding out the problems hidden in the above issues, and make research in the effects and questions of the current structure arrangement, so as to propose advice for our country's present financial support and social welfare. By learning the experiences of the financial support for the study and career pursuit of the students in money shortage from overseas, it provides its unique viewpoints for establishing our new financial support system for the poor university and college students .
