Research purpose:To explore the influence of exercise on interpersonal skills and school adaptation of junior middle school students and its relationship,and to provide a research basis for exercise to promote students' healthy behavior and develop students' core physical education quality.Research methods:Three grades of junior middle school students from urban,urban-rural and rural schools were selected to participate in the study.Using the paper-and-pencil test method of psychological measurement,each student is required to complete three questionnaires:exercise rating scale,interpersonal skills questionnaire for middle school students and school adjustment questionnaire for middle school students.According to the elimination criteria of wrong answers or missed answers,the students who passed all three questionnaires were regarded as valid questionnaires.Finally,a total of 3121 valid questionnaires were obtained,with an effective rate of 96.8%.Among them,there were 1611 male students and 1510 female students.Social statistical analysis software packages SPSS22.0 and AMOS24.0 were used for statistical analysis.Firstly,the independent sample t test and one-way analysis of variance were carried out on the exercise amount,interpersonal skills and school adaptation of junior middle school students.Then,the correlation analysis is used to analyze exercise,interpersonal communication ability and school adaptation in pairs.Finally,AMOS24.0 was used to further explore the relationship between exercise,interpersonal communication ability and school adjustment.Results:(1)the overall exercise level of junior middle school students is at the medium exercise level,with strong interpersonal skills and good school adaptation.(2)the junior middle school students exercise in gender(t=9.93,P<0.01),type of family(F=8(2311)=5.42,P<0.01,statistically significant on eta 2=0.003),junior middle school boys than girls,a complete family is higher than the reorganization of the family;Junior middle school students interpersonal communication ability in the family home(t=5.70,P<0.01),family type(F=8(2311)=7.86,P<0.01,eta grade 2=0.005),(F(2311)=17.93,P<0.01,statistically significant on eta 2=0.011),the countryside junior middle school students interpersonal communication ability higher than that of urban junior middle school students,junior middle school students is higher than a complete family and single parent families junior middle school students,the first and second day student above grade students;Middle school adjustment in gender(t=3.87,P<0.01),home(t=3.05,P<0.01),family type(F(2311)=17.80,P<0.01,the eta on the grade 2=0.011),(F(2311)=12.12,P<0.01,eta 2=0.008)statistically significant,junior middle school girls than boys,the countryside junior middle school students,middle school adjustment is higher than city family students' school adjustment is higher than restructuring and single parent families,The school adaptation of junior and junior two students is higher than that of junior three students.(3)there was a positive correlation between exercise and interpersonal communication ability in junior middle school students(r=0.17,P<0.01),that is,the greater the amount of exercise,the stronger the interpersonal communication ability.There is a positive correlation between exercise and school adaptation(r=0.08,P<0.01),that is,the greater the amount of exercise,the better the school adaptation.(4)the structural equation model fitting indexes x 2/DF=2.77,RMSEA=0.02,NFI=0.99,CFI=1.00 and PCFI=0.54 for the mediating effect were bootstrap95%confidence interval[0.068,0.126].Interpersonal communication ability played a part in the mediating effect of extracurricular exercise on school adaptation of junior middle school students,and the mediating effect accounted for 63.16%of the total effect.Conclusion:(1)exercise can positively predict the interpersonal communication ability and school adaptation level of junior middle school students.(2)exercise can directly improve the school adaptation of junior middle school students,or indirectly improve the school adaptation of junior middle school students through interpersonal skills,that is,there are two influence paths between exercise and school adaptation.The first is the direct influence:exercise?school adaptation,the second is the influence of exercise on interpersonal communication ability and then on school adaptation:exercise?interpersonal communication ability? school adaptation.
