Since 1977, the university entrance examination has been recovered, it has been three decades years, in which at all levels of society people were watching the college entrance examination from the perspective. Based on the background of different times, different college entrance exam system and policies, in social psychological level, "test person" in different periods as to "test" itself, for attending the college entrance examination to enter university's expectations, as well as the entrance of their lives which brought about the actual value, have very different understating, attitudes and opinions. Different times of people to the social understanding of the college entrance examination also reflect the awareness of the state of dissatisfaction to"real likelihood" and the state of hope to "ought" college entrance examination system. At to the reform study of the college entrance examination system, mostly from the theorists'and policy makers'point of view on the college entrance examination questions of existence came up with a solution, but really from people's analysis as to college entrance recognize of all aspects of the specific perspective of the has rarely involved . Therefore, the author thinks that providing different periods, especially in the current system of college entrance examination and recognizing their society to do detailed combing, you can separately from the perspective of the history and reality of college entrance examination system for the new era of reform and social awareness to look for the bedding, and for policy makers providing a reference.This article includes three parts. Firstly, this article defines the basic concepts of "generation", "inter-generational" as well as the division to the generation in the context of reform of the college entrance examination. Inter-generational on behalf of refers to the difference between two generations of parents and children in a narrow sense. In a broad sense, it refers to the differences between the younger generation in society and the old generation of thought in the field of the values and attitude etc. towards life and hobbies. Secondly, this paper analyzes the express of different generation understanding of the college entrance examination from the three decades of reform. This paper are from the "the recognition of the purpose of college entrance examination," "a fair question to test understanding," "on emotional experience of the college entrance examination"in terms of these three comparison of inter-generational differences. Finally, by comparison, it reflects "real likelihood" of the status discontent to the college entrance examination for the people as well as the hope to"it ought to be" of the status for college entrance examination reform such as promoting equity of college entrance examination, easing the stress and burden on the candidates.
