Because of the appearance of so called"Beaux-arts College Entrance Examination Fever", this kinds of test is being paid great attention to in all fields of our country. But there exists numerous problems hidden behind which needs to be brought into discussion and reconsideration. There are a series of factors affecting the favorable development of the Beaux-arts College Entrance Examination, namely, the high school fine arts education, off-campus art training, expanding enrollment of universities, fine arts enrollment system and students'intention.The author holds that amongst the multitudinous factors, the foremost one should fall on our nation's examination policy. Under the precondition of comparably low requirement of the culture courses, many high schools rushed in a continuous stream to give guidance of the student exceptionally skilled in art, for the purpose of a higher rate of admission into colleges. They conducted an extensive transformation to art examination-oriented education, shifting some students with low cultural scores to art study, under the circumstances of inadequate faculty and teaching facilities, which would predicatively influence the positive development of the art education.The expansion of the art specialty's student recruitment size is only a subordinate factor inducing the"Beaux-arts College Entrance Examination Fever". This dissertation would give a detailed analysis and discussion about the status quo and orientation of high school fine arts teaching and the modern art college entrance examination system, and then focus on the presentation of necessary proposals to strengthen the benign development of the art education. This paper only takes the Beaux-arts College entrance examination as an education example to make a discussion from the phenomena to the essence, by the use of sociological research methods.As for the status quo and orientation of off-campus art training resulting from the"Beaux-arts College Entrance Examination Fever", the author just made a simplified explanation, aiming at indicating that the art education ecology is now being seriously damaged from the above-mentioned phenomenon. Those training organizations come into being only for profits, which has influenced the normal progressing of the Beaux-arts College Entrance Examination, bringing out some abominable social problems.
