Encouragement strategy which frequently appears in management is widely applied in enterprises. With blooming of advanced vocational education in the past few years, higher vocational institutes, numbering more than 1500, hold 70% of higher education organizations, and enrolled students in vocational institutes are more than 50% of all campus students in higher education program. In this sense, higher vocational education is becoming a major new force. Despite gaps in educational aims, orientation and talent training, there is a common sense in educational guiding ideologies, with service as the aim, employment as the direction, ceeusro as the method. Under the new situation, in the process of moral education in higher vocational colleges, how to practice the CPC Central Committee's and State Council's Suggestion on Moral Education of College Students and Scientific Development View? How to cultivate qualified socialist constructors and successors? These questions should carefully be taken into consideration by all moral educators.Different from students in general colleges & universities and technical schools, higher vocational college students remain their own advanced characteristics. So it is unsuitable to follow the moral education modes of technical schools or general colleges. In this sense, it is more necessary and urgent to improve and strengthen the moral education in higher vocational colleges than ever before. Although in our academic circles some valuable researches in moral education encouragement have been achieved in higher vocational colleges, there are few academic achievements in ideological and political education for higher vocational students. The development of moral education in higher vocational colleges is hindered by the theories. The author in this thesis analyses the excitation proper, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Motivation-hygiene theory, ERG theory of Alderfer, Content-based Incentive theory of McClelland, Reinforcement theory, Goal-setting theory, Prospect theory and Equity theory. And the author refers to some scholars'moral education encouragement achievements and the author's own experiences in higher vocational education. And the author also tries to analyze the characteristics and regularities of higher vocational college students and moral education. It is significant to enhance the moral education encouragement in higher vocational colleges by this analysis. In addition, we put forward the inspiring mode, combined with ideological education, professional education and management. After that, three principles, namely, material encouragement and spiritual encouragement, praise and criticism and fair principle, and four methods, namely, goal encouragement, model encouragement, emotional encouragement and rewards & punishment encouragement are put forward. This thesis aims to strengthen and improve moral education in higher vocational colleges. Only by this method, can we clarify the aim, make it more acceptable, practice educational principles, and cultivate qualified socialist constructors and successors.Through discovering, analyzing and subsequently solving problems, the author gives some details of encouragement strategy to deal with the problems in moral education and hopes to provide references to others.
