Under the background of knowledge economy,graduate student education and training is requested a deeper level by our society.As the direct supervisor of graduate students,the master tutors' quality will affect the quality of graduate education directly.Performance appraisal is the basis and core of human resources management.It is of great practical significance to improve the quality of graduate through the establishment of a scientific and comprehensive graduate tutor performance appraisal system. The research on graduate tutor performance appraisal is a theoretical and practical subject.This paper starts with performance appraisal of college graduate tutor at home and abroad and points out China's graduate tutor performance appraisal problems in accordance with the idea of problems proposition, problems analysis,problems solving.This paper combines with the characteristics of graduate student tutor under the guidance of the basic method and theory in performance appraisal,and makes use method of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process),DELPHI,literature study,questionnaire and other methods such as the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to solve the problems.And then establish a scientific and systematic system of college graduate tutor performance appraisal.The paper is expected to provide a scientific basis on the promotion and elimination of tutor by using assessment results.Tutors can also make self-assessment according to the appraisal system for a horizontal and vertical comparison to play the initiative and enthusiasm which also allows the assessment more oriented.On the choice of assessment indicators,this paper makes consideration of the difference between the natural science tutor and human science tutor. It was set different treatments according to the characteristics of different disciplines in the categories of assessment indicators.The paper gets rid of the misunderstanding on paying more attention to scientific research and underestimating quality in the past evaluation system.The paper makes combination of the capability of graduate tutors' scientific research and quality of graduate training to build a scientific and comprehensive graduate tutor performance appraisal indicator system in colleges.This paper not only provides a theoretical basis for the reform of human resources in college,but also makes a theoretical foundation for the development of college graduate tutor performance appraisal.
