With the rapid development of science and technology, the application of mathematics was got more attention in various fields. As a result, the mathematical model that use to solve the practical problems has emerged as the times require. Nowaday, it is appeared to be particularly important in the promotion of quality education. In 2003, it has been officially written in the high school education standards that the mathematical modeling to be as the teaching content of high school mathematics. The standards have clearly announced that mathematical modeling, mathematical exploration and mathematical culture are all important content of high school mathematical curriculum. During high school, we should at least assign a thorough mathematical modeling and mathematical exploration activity.The paper is composed of five chapters. The first chapter has collected the massive material. elaborated some related questions of the mathematical model and the mathematics modeling and stated the present situation of mathematics modeling in domestic and foreign high school's teaching research. The second chapter based on the random sample which carries on the high school, finds out the mathematics study situation and mathematics application ability of first grade of high school. The study prepare for later practice and research. The third chapter introduce the process of mathematical modeling interest group activities.The activity divides into three concrete forms to carry on: the special topic teaching, the paper reading, writing papers, and elaborates the goal, the executive regulation and the practice summary of the activities.The fourth chapter is effect analysis and appraise of mathematics modeling interest group activities. The fifth chapter is some teaching strategy and suggestions about the mathematics modeling activities. That elaborated from three aspects: accumulate material of mathematical modeling, the requirements for teacher and the evaluation of students.In high schools to carry out the activities of mathematical modeling is a long-term, creative activity, requiring more concrete materials, research tasks and methods. Therefore, the writer will never stop researching and practicing mathematical modeling in high school teaching.
