With the rapid development of the Internet,online learning is becoming a global trends of education and training.Online universities of Domestic and foreign countries are Emerging,and all kinds of online courses are also springing up.With the rapid development of information technology,the quality of online educational resources will be a key factor for online education sooner or later.While the onine courses are Vectors of online educational resources,so they are more important than any other factors.Our country's online education starts late and is still in the stage of exploration,what's more,the analysis of its quality is far from enough and can not be guaranteed well.Thus,it will be a focal point to how to execute reasonable and effective evaluation of on-line courses.The author analyzes the current research situation of online courses' evaluation and finds that there are still a lot of problems now.Many relevant researches are not very systematic and standardized,which hampers the reliability and promotion of onine courses evaluation to a large extent.As a result,it it is hard to carry out effective evaluation,monitoring and management to online courses' quality.Abroad related researches have put forward a number of innovative ideas, which broaden our horizons.At the same time,it has a great influence towards our evaluation of online courses.So the author takes the topic—"Research on Projects of American Online Courses Evaluation" as the theme of my paper.On the basis of theories of online course and its evaluation,first of all,the author analyzes three successful online courses evaluation projects of United States on their background,process,evaluation criteria and so on.the author also analyzes their websites with investigative method as our main method.In a word,the author hopes that we can propose some valuable suggestions for our domestic research at the basis of overall analysis and survey of the three online courses evaluation projects of United States.Then the author summarizes the features of American online courses evaluation projects as well as characteristics of our country's 2008 online education excellent courses' assessment indicators and gets the following inspirations:(1) strengthen the evaluation of online courses' execution process.(2) stress the importance of interaction.(3) attach importance to the creation of study situations,especially human environment.(4) provide good study support service and resources.(5) pay attention to evaluating the effect of online learning.(6) emphasis the principle of accessibility in online learning. This article includes the following six parts:Part one:introduce the current status of online courses evaluation,existing problems and the reasons for the topics choice.Part two:introduce the relevant concepts and theories of online courses and their evaluation.Part three and Part four:analyze and review three online courses evaluation projects of the United States.Part five:summarize the features of American online courses evaluation projects as well as characteristics of our country's 2008 online education excellent courses' assessment indicators,and we have some inspirations.Part six:sum up the research and prospect the future.
