China has entered a period when a new educational situation will be fully created, and the most urgent task now is to cultivate and foster high-quality innovative talents. One of the important places to foster such a talent are the colleges of science and technology, then in the science and technology colleges, which educational mode should be chosen to cultivate this talent is the hotspot which all the educators should be concerned about. Under such large-scale activities in the education, the establishment of college music education discipline, provides an important way for China's science and technology colleges to foster high-quality innovative talents—the combination of"music and science". Also it advocates college students learning a research philosophy and method from music and creatively using the philosophy and method into their own professional disciplines. This paper uses"music and science"combining education topic as the research object, and through some relevant literatures of combination of"music and science", shows that music art and science learning from each other, promoting mutually and developing harmoniously, can contribute to the birth of innovative research results. The paper also uses some examples of successful people, as well as the author's teaching practice to describe the topic. At last, through the research of the subject, hope that more and more educators will understand college music education, gradually recognize its value and importance, and make great effort together for promoting the discipline development, the China's higher education development and people's overall development.
