Along with education form goes more and more deep into, education of history of mathematics is more and more took into account by teachers. HPM(History of mathematics and mathematic education organization) has been found on international. In our county, history of mathematics is listed elective course for senior middle school in new Standard Course. There are differents between common senior middle school and vocational school by history of mathematics teaching. So it is investigable in vocational school.This study has used data obtained from two surveys of 50 teachers of vocational high schools in urban, suburb and outer suburban district in Beijing and a survey of part of vocational school students. The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the vocational school teachers how to teach by history of mathematics and to study what problems the mathematic teachers have in teaching by mathematic history.Questionnaire 1 has indicated that there was considerable different with the teachers'knowledge attainment in history of mathematics in vocational schools, but it has significant relations to the teacher's education history, teaching age, reign of school. In an other words, the more longer of teachers'education history, the more shorter, the more closer of vocational school to downtown, the more higher of teachers'knowledge attainment in mathematic history. The teaching method of history of mathematics is simple. Most knowledge of history of mathematics is from internet. It is objective for cultivating the students'character and aesthetics. And it is certain for teaching by history of mathematics in vocational school.The survey indicated too that the teachers who teach vehicle repairing and computer students were high lever in history of mathematic. So the deeper questionnaire was given. It is relative to background of students, profession and the teachers'basic individual qualities.Mathematic teaching is mutual activity. A questionnaire was designed for students to help. It indicated that it the students were not interested in mathematics, but most students thought teaching by history of mathematics could improve interest of study. We should improve teaching ways and means.There are undefined other question. So a teachers'interview was given. The result was indicated 1 that the teachers in vocational schools had attempted actively and made good progress. 2 teaching method were flexible and diversity. 3 the teachers wished to have more ways and opportunity to enhance quality themselves, to study, discuss and improve effect of teaching.Basing on the upwards of study, some suggestions for how to development teacher's mathematic history knowledge and how to improvement and enhance teaching by mathematics history were given at the end of this thesis.
