5-year primary education is a unique training model. It is to enroll graduates from middle school to "5-year", namely "3-2" form of training of teachers in primary education. From the curriculum point of view, the main characteristics is to play down the major disciplines awareness, emphasizing the comprehensive training, branch development, the attention to general curriculum, teaching education programs and teaching curriculum practice. Spoken Chinese of teachers' in primary education as a major category of quality curriculum is a subject about the study of the principle of how teachers use the spoken language, including the Mandarin, the general oral communication and the teaching profession spoken three parts. It is mainly to train students in primary education major the verbal skills. The creation of this course, can fully reflect the major disciplines of primary education comprehensive, practical, primary education for the practice of other major categories of curriculum and teaching practice, to open the provision of basic protection activities, and to improve the quality of would-be teachers. And it is also of great significance in training teachers in primary education to adapt to the new curriculum needs . Therefore the study of the curriculum for teachers and teaching spoken language and the exploration of how to improve the teaching profession spoken ways and means of skills of primary and secondary education major students , not only conform to the requirements of the times, but also can better the curriculum major of primary education, and promote the professional construction and development of basic education of major primary and secondary education as well. This paper which is based on oral teaching theory and combined with the new curriculum for primary school teachers in the practical requirements of spoken language skills conducts a survey and testing of oral classes, teaching situation and the teachers' and students' ability of Spoken Chinese of primary education major in Sichuan Jiangyou Normal School. It focuses on the analysis the factors that cause the current teaching of primary education teachers in trouble such as teaching philosophy, teaching materials, the quality of students, and the National Putonghua Proficiency Test. The paper also gives some sustainable and operative advice on strengthening the construction of the curriculum resources,the setting of curriculum programs, building the professional teacher team, updating the teaching implementing strategy and renewing the the mode of teaching evaluation which is based on the characteristics of major curriculum of basic education and the practical needs of spoken language ability for teachers in primary schools. And it also concerns about the actual situation of the Normal Schools which have the primary education major. The purpose of the paper is to draw attention to the verbal emphasis on curriculum construction system, to improve the status of spoken language teaching which has been gradually marginalized, to play a role in promoting oral teaching curriculum, and to perfect the curriculum setting for primary education major.
