At present, blogs, which are developing rapidly on Internet, have become the newest way of web communication and information transmition, which indicates that the Internet is gradually advancing from the traditional sharing of information towards the sharing of ideas. Blogs are playing a more and more important role in every field. And their application in education will exert positive and great influences on such aspects as learning methods, teaching methods and evaluation, teaching reflection and teaching organization modes and also bring both opportunities and challenges for normal colleges and universities. In this new age, to further the study on the law of blogs and learn how to use them more efficiently to promote the moral education work has become the work focus of normal colleges and universities.This thesis mainly employs the literature research method and the method of combing theory with practice. When composing this thesis, the writer referred to a large number of relevant articles from CNKI, CSCD and EBSCO's databases. On the basis of other people's studies, this thesis comes to the final conclusion by analyzing blogs in its connection with moral education in normal colleges and universities. To ensure the scientificity and authenticity of this research, during the whole process, the writer adheres to the research concept of combining theory with practice. Besides, some related theories have been illustrated with the analysis of excellent blogs and concrete work practice, which has made this thesis more persuasive. The innovative points are as follows:Firstly, this research enriches the theories of teaching through blogs. Not like those previous studies, which usually emphasize the role played by blogs in promoting the professional knowledge learning, this thesis has demonstrated the importance of blogs in accelerating moral education in normal colleges and universities. Secondly, this research also adds a new idea to the moral education work, i.e. to use blogs to promote moral education, which provides an innovative approach for the moral education work in normal colleges and universities.In addition, this thesis has certain practical significance: to begin with, a highly effective web platform of moral education in normal colleges and universities has been built up. Blogs enable us not only to record the whole process of students'interaction with teachers or the whole research process, but to keep abreast with the latest situation of students. That means blogs have offered a concrete working platform for teachers. Furthermore, to some extent, the exploitation for new working ideas and the concrete experimental research have accelerated the development of moral education in normal colleges and universities.The thesis, in view of how to use such a new interactive communication mode to develop moral education in colleges and universities, discusses the construction of working blogs for moral education in normal colleges and universities. The first chapter, based on the analysis of the development of blogs and the present situation of moral education in normal colleges and universities, proposes two different application modes of blogs: to apply blogs in both ideological and political work and daily moral education work in normal colleges and universities. The second chapter mainly discusses three basic theories of application of blogs in moral education in normal colleges and universities: postmodernism theory, learning theory and communication theory. The third chapter deals with the application of blogs in the moral education courses in normal colleges and universities from such perspectives as the purpose, necessity, constructional principles and application. The forth chapter demonstrates the design flow, the structure, the selection of contents and designing art of these blogs used for moral education work in normal colleges and universities. In the last chapter, the writer, according to his own moral education practice, by analyzing the concrete examples, illustrates the construction, the operation and maintenance and the effects of various kinds of moral education blogs and also certifies the feasibility of applying blogs into moral education work, which has laid a foundation for the further study on the application of blogs in moral education work in colleges and universities.
