Shanghai Counties Sports School Survey And Its Influencing Factors,

The main mission of children's sports schools is to cultivate and deliver potential sports talents with full development morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically for the country. It is the main source of sports talents, and it makes significant contribution to the sports career of our country. Some research shows that:in the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games, all of the fifty players who won thirty two golden medals for China came from sports school. In the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, Chinese Sport delegation won fifty one golden medals, and the winners of the golden medals have similar experience-they all received formative education in sports school, and then they enters professional teams.However, with the development of the society, children's sports schools encounter some problems, such as difficulties in enrolling new students, low growth rate, insufficient funds, and unreasonable competition system. Great success has been made in the competitive sports, but at the same time, more attention should be paid in the problems that children's sports schools face. The research object of the paper is 18 children's sports schools in districts and counties of Shanghai city. The influence factors have been figured out and related measures have been initiated after the analysis of training modes, training program, the condition of athletes' training and studing, the condition of student-enrollment, the coaches condition , the logistics guarantees and influence factors.The research shows: the training mode is one concentration and three concentration. there are 30 training modes, the layouts are reasonable, but few athletes participate in certain sports; the academic performance of the athletes is not very good, their academic performance became worse than what they did before participating in the training; the source of student-enrollment is weak, material selection is mainly dependent on experience, with little application of modern science and technology; the coaches'educational background and title structure are more reasonable , the coaches make and carry out training plans very well , but the coaches are dissatisfied to mechanism in the encouraging of children's sports schools; the main source of the the schools' funds is earmarks from the Sports Bureau, most of the children's sports schools have difficulties in maintaining their development depending on the sole funds source; factors that influence the development of children's sports schools include schools, coaches, society, economy, and athlete.
