From the1990s, Chinese vocational education has been developing progressively.The 21st century, with the rapid development of China's economy, China is becoming the world's "manufacturing center", high-quality skilled talents with rich knowledge are increasingly demanded by enterprises in the developed coastal areas, and even a senior technician with monthly salary of 10,000 yuan is hardly wanted. The phenomenon of shortage of workers appears in some regions. It provides great opportunities for the development of vocational education.At present, the enrollment students for vocational school is 8 million every year, on-campus students are more than 20million; vocational enrollment reaching 3.2 million per year, more than 9 million students in the school, vocational enrollment is almost half the total number of college students enrollment.However, due to the traditional values, vocational education has not been recognized by considerable families. It is wrongly realized that graduates from vocational school have little opportunities to be successful. The academic achievements in senior schools are determined by scores. The students with bad scores are paid a little attention by the people around them. There still exists a certain degree of high academic value phenomenon in the society.There exists a danger of marginalization and social discrimination for vocational school students, and vocational students are featured with low quality, lack of control, poor discipline, weak accountability, lack of hard, hard-working spirit and so on.These cast a shadow to the further development of vocational education, bringing new challenges to moral education.Since entering the 21st century, the party and the country attached great importance to vocational education, some important documents are promulgated such as "the Decision of State Council on Vocational Education Reform and Vigorously Promote its Development ", "The Decision of State Council on Vigorously Development of Vocational Education", and " the Report of the State Council on Vocational Education Reform and its Development".The moral status of vocational students who are one of the main forces of China's future workers plays an important role to the happiness of millions of families, and to the social stability and the harmony of the whole nation.This article discusses the importance of moral education in vocational colleges. Through in-depth analysis the main features and the main problems of moral education in vocational schools, the author gives his own views, highlighting the measures to resolve the problems of moral education in vocational colleges with guiding ideology and basic principles.
