Geographic schematic diagram means using concise and graphical images to represent geographical concepts and the structure of things, or explaining the content of more complex causes of geographical objects, principles, movements, and the law of geographic distribution and evolution.According to the new curriculum requirements, the teaching materials, and even testing questions, the teachers are required to attach importance to the teaching and learning geographic schematic diagram.Based on the understanding of the core concept of "Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standards ", "Jing Su Province Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standards teaching requirements", and "Jiang Su Province Examination Instructions", the essay tries to change the current teaching practice. Traditionally, geographic schematic diagram is only considered as a teaching tool in a geography class. However, few researchers in china have combined geographic schematic diagram---as a teaching and learning tool, with the learning contents, let alone special studies.As a teaching researcher, the author puts forward effective learning strategies of geographic diagram by exploring the questions arising from the process of learning geographic schematic diagram,and she tries to change teaching methods to provide reference for other teachers.Therefore, this paper focuses on the following tasks:1.the theory of learning of geographic schematic diagram On the basis of relevant literature, together with her teaching experience, the author of this essay redefines connotation and extension of the concept of the geographic schematic diagram, and reclassifies the categories of the schematic diagram; meanwhile, the learning of geographic Schematic diagram is theoretically discussed.2.the obstacles of High school students to learning geographic schematic diagramsThrough interviews, questionnaires, examination papers, the homework of the students, and other investigation and analyses, the author has summarized students'learning problems and their causes in the process of learning different geographic schematic diagram.3.the guiding strategy of High school students learning geographic Schematic diagramThe guiding strategy is put forward based on specific problems and their causes in the students learning process of the geographic schematic diagram. For instance: paper-graph conversion strategy, graph–paper conversion strategy, multiple questions for a single map, the strategy of restoring and returning to the original map, and the strategy of geographic schematic diagrams being drawn and induced from natural phenomena and real-life.4.The probe into the high school students'learning pattern of geographic schematic diagram.With her teaching practice, the author reflects and summarizes her teaching activities, probes into learning pattern of geographic schematic diagram, and evaluates the learning effects of the students'learing through geographic schematic diagram.
