Hong Zongli is the first grade teacher in Jiangsu Province and the famous Chinese educator. As the chief editor of Jiangsu junior high school textbooks, he has presided over the states'key issue——"Native language teaching in home and abroad" of "Ninth Five-Year" and "Tenth-Five-Year". His lifelong commitment to education, to join the teaching reform, gradually formed his own ideology on Chinese language Education. From the teaching practice to the teaching reform, from the teaching reform to the learning and teaching materials, and then to the scientific study on native language in home and abroad, he turned a common language teacher to to a great educator.Hong Zongli, this thesis discusses the professional development of Chinese language teachers.The text has the following parts:the introduction, body composition of four chapters and the conclusion.Introduction Introduce the character—Hong Zongli. Then introduce the division of Hong's teacher professional development stages and the review of the study on Hong 's work, The introduction also contains the reason of choosing this e topics, the research ideas and methods, and the basic concepts.The first chapter outlines the professional development of teachers.The text generalizes the background of professional development of teachers, the history of professional development of teachers in and abroad, and the conditions,issues and trends of the professional development of teacher.Chapter two The establishing period of Hong Zongli's language teacher professional development. This chapter mainly discusses the performance, achievements, causes, implications and evaluation of Hong's teacher professional development in the establishing period. Establishing period is the basic stage of Hong Zongli's professional development, and it alsothe important periodof forming Hong's basic quality of a teacher. During this period, Hong Zongli just graduated from the Normal College,he began to jion the teaching practice with a warmth and a romantic ideal of education. However, because of the lack of understanding of the reality of teaching, in the face "reality shock", Hong Zongli's "romantic ideal" has been broken. He clearly aware of the low standard of teaching and the narrow range of knowledgeof himself, but he did not flinch. He showed a certain to be a good teacher and the persistent belief and persists in pursuing the teaching profession. On the one hand he studied the old teachers'teaching experience, on the other hand, he groped teaching skills from the teaching practice.He broadly read the subject knowledge, also he carefully studied the foreign language education monographs. Through the unremitting personal efforts, Hong Zongli finally has a solid foundation in teaching practice, he basicaly realized his teaching goals:highly sentiment, steadily style of work, exquisite teaching skill, extentive knowledge and a firmer foundation. This period of professional development shows that:the love of the language, the faith to be a good teacher and the perseverance spirit theseare the important prerequisite for the professional developmentof a language teacher.Chapter three introduces the developing period of Hong Zongli's teacher professional development. The text mainly discusses the performance, achievements, causes, implications and evaluation of Hong Zongli's teacher professional development in the developingperiod. Developing period is the harvest period of Hong Zongli's education, and it is also the forming period of his ideology on language education.-During this period,-Hong Zongli didn't willing to be a teacher only, but actively engaged in teaching reform, he began to compile the experimental materials. Therefore he positively discussed the theChinese language teaching problems, gradually built hia main system on education in Chinese subjects:the "five said" Chinese Language Education and the "double leading" approach. His professional awareness gradually highlighted and they promotes the process of teacher professional development. These are all related to his character:the establishment of his teaching consciousness, the life value of the indifferent to fame and fortune and the persistent pursuite This period of professional development declares that national education policy impacts the of teacher professional development, and it leas the direction of the teacher professional development. As an important part of education culture, school culture plays plays a subtle role in the teachers'professional development, it is the base for the teachers 'professional development. The appearance of the "key character" promots the process of the teachers' professional development, he is the "guidance" of the teachers'professional development.Chapter four introduces the maturity period of Hong Zongli's language teacher professional development. This part mainly discusses the the performance, achievements, causes, implications and evaluation of the teachers'professional development in maturity period. The maturity of Chinese education thoughts, the publishment of the national model Chinese Teaching Material, the research results of the 16 volumes of mother-tongue and the publishment of the 6 volumes of the "Hong Zongli Collected Works",these all.shows the maturity. The maturity period is the peaking and improving period of Hong Zongli's educational attainment. The main achievements of this period are "Five said"——Chinese language education thought, language education's "chain", the establishment of new ideas on the national sample Chinese Teaching Material and the language teaching research. Been able to attain this high achievement, it mainly due to his "no I can have me, doing nothing can be aggressive" philosophy, "thking right, thinking wrong" academic integrity, pursuit of the teachers'lifevalue, the spirit of go with times and the foster of the spirit of cooperation. This period shows that: self-transcendence is the spiritual power of teachers'professional development; "collective cooperation is an important way for teacher professional development; the studying heart is the key factor in teachers'professional development; changing ideas is the prerequisite for teachers'professional development.Conclusion, base on the review of Hong Zongli's teacher professional development course, the thest professional development of teachers thinks over the inspiration of Hong Zongli's teacher professional development, and looking forward to the future of teacher professional development.This paper attempts to study Hong Zongli's case and reveals his success secret, and gives the reference for the the teachers'professional development.
