We are faced with the reformation of the21st curriculum and teaching. With the popularization of information technology and industry, the English teaching mode, feature and structure is changing. We are going through the transition from traditional education to the future education, then the reformation of teaching method is inevitable. Multimedia teaching is conducive to creating a good English learning environment, enrich students’imagination, greatly improve the teaching efficiency, and construct students’cognitive schema. We should realize Multimedia teaching has two-sided effects, then improve its shortcomings. In addition, it should be noticed that the traditional teaching usually tends to negated and ignored by contrast to the multimedia teaching.Real-time multimedia technology is that the computer integrated processing of texts, sound, images and other media information system technology. It is a high-end technology which is introduced into teaching to help teaching, then produce multimedia teaching. Because of her characteristics and designing principles, English teachers are newly required. I conduct a survey on multimedia English teaching used in the middle and primary school. Through my English teaching practice, observation and investigation, I design three questionnaires and explore and analyze the real current situation of English teaching, advantages and some trouble in the multimedia teaching from the three aspects (schools, teachers and students). Consequently we proposed some countermeasures to improve the multimedia English teaching to solve contradiction between teaching capacity and students’digestion ability, what is the best time and occasion of multimedia teaching, carry out exploring learning teaching mode, propose requirements of multimedia courseware.We hope to come from the teaching practice, and then apply into the teaching practice. We summarize and analyze the teaching practice feedback, and to make some suggestions to standardize multimedia English language teaching, to ensure the quality of English teaching, to arm English teaching with powerful learning tools and methods, to bring new vigor and vitality to English teaching.
