Na Homestead is a Muslim village of Yinchuan's outskirts in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. According to legend, "Na" of Na Homestead are descendants of Nasulading who is Shaanxi Ping-zhang Zheng-shi of the Yuan Dynasty, and 500 years ago, moved here from Shaanxi Province. In 1524 (Ming Dynasty Jiajing Three-years),Na Homestead mosque was built, and formed a Zhemati gradually. Na Homestead for several hundred years of history has gone from boom to face catastrophe of the repression of Moslem uprising, and from the revival of the late Qing dynasty to the changes due to administrative divisions and Ma Hongkui grasping soldiers had declined again, and from Islam of being marginalized after the 1950s to religious and commercial renaissance at 1980s.In 2001, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Government approved Yinchuan government rely on the construction of Na Homestead to build the "Chinese Hui Culture Garden", and plan to turn Na Homestead into "Hui Muslim Hometown of China".In 2002, the project was implemented. Since then, Na Homestead sank in unprecedented development process:1000 mu of cultivated land had been expropriated to build the "Chinese Hui Culture Garden". In 2007, the village houses were relocated to the construction of a large number of folk street, square, green belt. Now, the implementation of the project is already more than 7 years, the Chinese Hui Culture Garden has been opened in September 2006. The third phase of the project Folk Street, squares, green belt construction and road widening, and the resulting construction of old houses demolition is in progress.However, the implementation of development plans did not let Na Homestead clearly felt that their life is more prosperous than ever before, instead, they add to their uncertainty about the future livelihood of anxiety. China Hui Culture Garden did not give them more confidence and peace of the spirit, instead, bring them a variety of new cultural harassment.The author has reviewed the process of from Zhemati to "Hui Muslim Hometown of China" in Na Homestead, and the prosperity and affluence of Na Homestead in the past, and the origin and meaning of "Hui Hometown of China". Then analysis and discussed development's longing and muddle of Na Homestead for the future. And reflected and reviewed the theory of development, tradition and modern, the relationship between economic development and national culture characterized.Reached the following conclusions:First, productivity growth is not the only issue, but a relationship. Second, the development is a means not an end. Third, the development of diversity is necessary. In the author's opinion, such a discussion to increase awareness of the scientific development concept and building of a harmonious society's understanding of positive significance.
