With the economic globalization and integration deepening, the regional competition and cooperation have become the regional economic development normalcy, and economic ties among spaces have developed to an unprecedented degree. As an important strategic area of perfecting the coastal economic zone spatial layout, it has vital significance to study the spatial economic relationship of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. Based on the basic theory of spatial economic relationship, such as the growth pole theory, gradient development theory and anti-gradient development theory, and Geo-economic relationship theory, the paper measured the land industry and marine industry of internal cities by introducing the Location Quotient Model, analyzed the spatial economy development situation, and measured the spatial economic relationships between Qingdao city and other cities in Shandong province, between Blue Economic Zone and China’s coastal provinces. And the results are as followed: firstly, the manufacturing industry in Blue Economic Zone has great advantages, and marine industrial structure distribution is “two-three-one”. Secondly, the Blue Economic Zone has abundant marine resources and great economic advantages, while it has got the external threats of the low transformation rate of scientific and technological achievements and the imperfect supporting systems. Thirdly, the competition between Qingdao City and other cities withine Blue Economic Zone is strong while the spatial economic relationship between Qingdao City other cities in Shandong Province is weak-linked and complementary. The spatial economic relations of Qingdao city is not very ideal. Fourthly, The spatial economic relations between Blue Economic Zone and costal provinces conforms to the law of diminishing distance, the range of its spatial economic relations is not broad enough. Combined with the current situation analysis, it put forward some countermeasures and suggestions: firstly, reducing the internal connection cost among the Zone, perfecting industrial layout, promoting the coordinated development between land and sea, and optimizing the market environment for its development. Secondly, taking advantage of the leading role of economic growth pole within the Shandong province, and making full use of the vast economic hinterland of inland area. Thirdly, perfecting the spatial economic relationship between Blue Economic Zone and China’s coastal provinces, promoting the transformation of competition relations, strengthening the regional informatization construction, promoting the upgrade of regional manufacturing industry and adapting to the new-normal economic development.
