Research On Promoting Social Responsibility Of Private Express Enterprises

In February 2009, the logistics industry is identified as one of the top ten adjusting revitalization industry. As an important part of the logistics industry, the private express enterprise undertakes the packaging, transport, storage, distribution, logistics information management activities of various items, it is a more functional service industry, because it mixes the transportation, forwarding, warehousing and information together, and it also plays an important role in promoting industrial structure adjustment, transforming the pattern of economic development, and realizing the stable growth of national economy in the new normal state. But with the rapid development of electronic commerce in our country, on the one hand, the private express enterprise makes a major contribution for our country’s economic growth; on the other hand, the private express enterprise shows the serious lack of social responsibility issues, such as incomplete of employee’s social security coverage, imperfection of operation process and management system, unstable service quality, weak consciousness of environmental protection and so on. Why the private express enterprise lack of the corporate social responsibility, both the private express enterprise itself and the government should take the responsibility.Firstly, the article defines the social responsibility of the private express enterprise, and expounds the relevant theoretical basis about the private express enterprise undertaking social responsibility. Secondly, the article analyzes the present situation and reason of the private express enterprise fulfillment on social responsibility, and puts forward the government as the representative of public interests, the manager of the society, have the right and obligation to guide the private express enterprise to fulfill social responsibility. Finally, through reference to the successful experiences of the western developed countries in development of corporate social responsibility, and combining with the characteristics of China private express enterprise’s own development, the article puts forward a series of countermeasures to perfect our government effectively guide the private express enterprise fulfilling social responsibility.
