Its value lies in the conversion from complacency to the successful implementation of enterprise culture and affects the whole industry.This paper mainly studies the application of Six Sigma Theory in the development of new products, and the combination of project management and lean design methods, to a development of the thermostat project as an example, the application and effect of six sigma methods and tools of analysis throughout the project development process. The main research work and conclusions include:Firstly, the basic theory research of Six Sigma, six sigma management and the significance of the implementation of enterprise. The basic analysis method of the Six Sigma Process DMAIC, define, measure, analyze, improve and control the definition and implementation method of five stage.Secondly, based on a review of the basic theory, proposed the lean six sigma Design (DFSS) concept. Lean Six Sigma design process and the basic process of deduced from DMAIC to UDMOVC, and some of the basic tools of research and analysis.Finally, a thermostat to new product development project as an example, the Six Sigma theory combined with the process of project management, and the design and development of products with the main methods and tools of Lean Six Sigma design, and finally the successful completion of the project is expected and related indicators, the maximum extent to meet customer expectations and needs.In this paper, through the research and application of Six Sigma and lean the basic theory of the design process, and combining with the method of Six Sigma project management, to the development and promotion of the new product development project, has the function of guidance and reference significance to improve the enterprise’s new product development process and the implementation of it.
