Architectural Engineering Design Competency Analysis

Presently the research about the competence model of technologist is focused on researcher and there is little competence model research on engineer. The paper chooses the architecture design engineer, the model of engineer, as research object to find out competence model factor and builds architecture design engineer competence model.The paper chooses an architecture design corp. as research background and fully considers the state status of China and the architecture industry specialties. The paper uses the methods of document review and Behavior Event Interview (BEI) to find out competence model factor. Finally we discover 25 competence model factors. Then we collect the questionnaire and use SPSS soft to analyze the gathering data, eventually the paper build architecture design engineer competence model.Through the research, we find that the architecture design engineer competence model includes 7 dimensions. They are person glow ability, guidance ability, safety & quality awareness, communicate& team work ability, thinking ability, the enthusiasm of work and work qualification.The paper of the research on architecture design engineer competence model is useful in real society and it gives an orientation about the further research on engineer competence model.
