With the globalization of knowledge and economy, vast numbers of projects rely more and more on cross-national cooperation. Since people from different nations and culture area have to work together in a cross-nation project, it gives the corresponding project management brand new requirements due to the cultural conflict caused by the diversity of different cultures. How project managers could react to these challenges becomes an urgent issue to be resolved.With the surveys aimed at the members that used to or currently be in a cross-nation project and people who used to work overseas, this thesis firstly give out 10 culture factors which might lead to cultural conflict by doing SPSS factor analysis on the surveys'related part which is focused on figuring out what formed an cultural conflict, and then point out the relationship among these factors; Secondly, this thesis proposed 5 Process Group Conflict Intensity Indicator and use them as the indicators of the conflict intensity level which cultural factors might bring up. With the relativity analysis between these indicators and cultural factors, this thesis proposed the relationship between the cultural factors and Process Group Conflict Intensity Indicator. After some step-in studies, this thesis proposed the distribution of cultural factors which bring up the conflict in management area of Project Process Groups. According to this distribution, a project cultural conflict management model is built up. Finally, a validation stage using an INTEL project is carried out. The results show that, the relationship among the cultural factors is validated by INTEL project, so is the relationship between the cultural factors and Process Group Conflict Indicators. An analysis report of INTEL cultural conflict management model is proposed and suggestions are given out according to the cultural conflict management model proposed by chapter 5.This thesis'main contributions are five fold: (1) the cultural factors that might lead to a cultural conflict are proposed; (2) the relationship among these factors is proposed; (3) the relationship between the cultural factors and Process Group Conflict Intensity...
