This paper is the research on selecting strategic alliance partner between corporations which are equal and hoping to build long-run relations, taking no account of temporary alliance or pure supplier. The alliance in this paper is a broad sense alliance, including shares alliance and contract alliance. The purpose of this research is that offer effective criteria for selecting strategic alliance partner, on the basis of analyzing selecting criteria and model of strategic alliance partner at home and abroad, then select strategic alliance partner by applying scientific approach.This research is in a complicate study field referring to many disciplines and theories, such as Economics, Management and Sociology. Research approach of this paper is Induction, applying some analyzing tools including AHP, Grey Analysis, and Economic Value Added etc. This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter I is the general analyzing of alliance partner, including definition and types of strategic alliance partner. In terms of the previous types of strategic alliance partner, three types have been cataloged: Partner for Benefit, Partner for Relations and Partner for Competence Strength.Chapter II is literature review of selecting model of strategic alliance partner at home and abroad. Two types of selecting models have been cataloged: single step partner evaluating model and value chain optimizing model.
