It is an indisputable fact that there is high failure rate in the strategic alliance. All the failures can be attributed to the lack of expertise in this key field. Therefore, the studies on partnership choice-making play a significant role in the sustainability of the strategic alliance. The research result will help a lot in the development of an enterprises.First, after having analyzed the current situation and inadequacies, I come to the point that enterprises which do not pay enough attention to the partnership appraisal at the beginning will lose in the end. Then I set up a partnership choice-making index system on the basis of former research findings and suggestions from experts. The last part is a verification of the system. The SPSS software verifies the hypothesis.Finally the paper draws a conclusion that there are 4 aspects to consider when choosing a strategic partner: similarity and equality in strength, exchangeable resources, harmonious relationship, as well as technological advantages. All these factors form the analysis model for partnership choice-making, providing for high-level managers in their strategic activities.
