Development Of The Metropolis Of The Old City Study

Nowadays, the development of old city zone is a significant practical problem of urban development. It is also the requirement of urban sustainable development. This paper takes Qinhuai, Nanjing as a case, introduces the present situation of the development of Qinhuai. Then it analyzes the existing problem of old city zone in metropolis and corresponding countermeasures are also suggested.Firstly the paper introduces the academic and practical significance of the research topic and the methods of this study. Then it systematically summarizes the correlative theories of urban renewal at home and aboard. After that is the relative theory of old city zone development in metropolis. The analysis of mechanism of the old city zone development followed. The key part of this paper is the positive analysis of Qinhuai, Nanjing as a case. It points out the existing problem of the development of Qinhuai, Nanjing and countermeasures for solving them.According to the study above, the paper summarizes the main conclusion and the deficiency. The main conclusion of this paper lies in two aspects: First, the development of the old city zone in metropolis is an all-around topic. It requires integrated academic consideration. Secondly, as far as this research is concerned, the development of the old city zone in metropolis should carry into execution by spatial structure optimization, industrial structure adjustment and institution innovation.
