Xiamen Port Services And The Ability To Develop Research

This article is going to approach the future development of Xiamen Port by analyzing its development strategy and function positioning. Our investigation would base on the concept raised at the "the Eleventh Five-Year Plan" to strengthen the economy of Xiamen City by developing its port and to fully utilize Xiamen as the leading city in the economic zone in the west coast.According to application of the port container transportation service ability index and analyze Xiamen's container transportation service ability for comparing landscape and portrait, we conclude that Xiamen's port container transportation service ability is not high. We discover and analyze the bottleneck that Xiamen would face in her progress of development, the restricted area of Xiamen's port container transportation service ability with the shortage of hinterland resource; all these would weaken the competitiveness of Xiamen Port. This article is to focus on analyzing the problems Xiamen face through its container transportation service ability and the solutions. We state both the existing problems and solutions by analyzing the current fact.We would use a gray forecast model, G(1, 1) model to predict the container throughput of Xiamen Port, and further prove the future expansion scale and speed, conclude that the current status of Xiamen Port makes itself difficult to expand.
