Container transport represents the development direction of modern logistics, with a green, environmentally friendly, non-polluting, goods less depletion, high degree of standardization, handling efficiency. Thus, the emergence of container transport, although only a short period of 60 years, but the rapid pace of development, profound changes in the pattern of world trade and transport, accelerate the process of economic globalization.Thesis analyzes the study of A port is a country in the "Sixth Five-year Plan" period, in order to adapt to the "Transporting the coal in the North to the South & Transporting coal from West to East in China" strategy and the new large port. The opening of the port open in just 30 years, A port riding the tide of reform and opening up continue to grow rapidly developed into a port cargo throughput of more than 300 million tons, ranking No. 8 in the domestic coastal ports, iron ore, soybeans multiple kinds of goods imports wood, nickel ore in the nation. However, the development of container transport A port has been lagging behind became a "short board" port development. The container transformation of A port upgrade, need to break impasse container development.
