Tianjin Economic And Competitive Changes And Upgrading

Urban Competitiveness problem is one of the hottest issues in economics field. As Binhai new zone became a national development strategy and be authorized as the second national integrated reformation experimental base, Tianjin starts to attract some eyesight in China. So, the study on the alteration and promotion of Tianjin's competitiveness is very practical.Based on modern economy increase theory and competition theory, this paper establishes a theoretical frame of competitiveness evaluation by demonstration analysis. And it also measures and compares the economy competitiveness among the main cities in Bohai Bay area by adopting the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. aiming at the disputed condition of competitiveness in our country, the first part defines and differentiates the urban competitiveness, which paves a road for coming study on the alteration and promotion of Tianjin's economy competitiveness. Secondly, this paper analyzes the status quo of Bohai Bay area from different perspectives. From which we can see lots of advantages in Bohai Bay area. It will become one of the most competitive economic areas because of its good development trend over the last decades. Thirdly, based on the full consideration of environmentalism economy, intensivism economy, recycling economy and technology innovation, this paper establishes a set of index system of urban economy competitiveness evaluation. The fourth part measures Tianjin's economy competitiveness during the 2000-2004 periods and compares it with some related cities by utilizing the information of the first economic universal investigation and annual data. Its point is to analyze the advantage and disadvantage of Tianjin's economy competitiveness by being established in Bohai Bay area. Fifthly, this paper mainly analyses several important facts affecting Tianjin's economy competitiveness, and does some deeper exploring in order to make it clearer and more specific. According to the latest development and changes about the operation of Tianjin's macro economy, the sixth part discusses some countermeasures and feasible suggestions on how to promote Tianjin's economy competitiveness.It has to be mentioned that because of the insufficient index data of individual city, the theoretic frame of economy competitiveness evaluation needs to be perfected. This paper is just considered as the principium analysis about Tianjin's economy competitiveness. I will make my effort and keep working on this study.
