Aiming at improving the situation of long-term dependence on imported equipment, in the seamless steel tube processing line, a set of vertical circular sawing machine was designed and manufactured. The reaserch had sufficient consideration of high steel-level,cutting difficulty and continuous operation. The R&D based on comprehensive acknowledge of mechanism,hydraulics,pneumatics,electrics and computer technologies, etc. This thesis is divided into several chapters, content as follows:In chapter one,seamless tube processing craft and role of sawing machine are stated, based on the survey for the characteristics of sawing machine worldwide and it's history. At last, the significance of localization of circular sawing machine is emphasized.In chapter two,after the performance index of sawing machine provided, the overall design proposal and working process is introduced, with the detail on mechanical parts and electrical controlling scheme.In chapter three,the model analysis theory and it's development are introduced, accompanied by the finite element method and the typical software ANSYS,then the functions and characteristics of ANSYS are described in detail.In chpater four,as the vibration equation of saw blade is given, we made the model and analyse the inherent frequencies by ANSYS, found out the relationship between thickness, clamping flange and the influence of cutting performance.as a result, some corresponding suggestion for improvement is given.In chapter five,the static and dynamic characteristics of spindle structure are inferred, then we studied the modal characteristics of spindle by ANSYS, and found out the the way to improving performance on the shaft neck and supporting span.In chapter six, the R&D working is summarizied, and some problems are given for further researching.
