The larger scale of coal mining, the deeper depth of mining well lane, and the larger quantity of vehicles in use increases much workload and complexity to the underground vehicle management. As a significant method for the safety and efficiency in transportation, a reliable transport monitor system can prevent accidents such as turnout trailing, crashes, derailments, congestion and so on, and also help dispatchers with reasonable shunting arrangement.After investigating and analyzing the actual situation of transportation underground, this thesis develops a coal mining lane transport management system based on RFID and WLAN as to meet the needs of safe and efficient transport and vehicle digital management. This system realizes such functions as vehicle positioning, remote switch control and wireless communication between dispatching room and locomotive, which provide a basis for the realization of semi-automation shunting.Firstly, vehicle positioning based on RFID is studied. The layout of readers and locators is optimized according to the distribution of switches and the communication range of RFID system, so that the system can solve the signal collision problem, realize reliable and accurate vehicle positioning, and satisfy the positioning requirement of admission passage interlock. This monitor system does not only realize the real-time positioning function, but also provides black box and statistics functions.Secondly, the remote network control of switches is studied. The ethernet ring network is established underground coal mine, using the redundancy technology to keep the information transmission stable and reliable. The dispatching room controls PLC by industrial ethernet protocol to drive switch machine and inspect the state of switch.Then, the wireless voice and data communication technology between locomotives and dispatching room is presented. The C/S pattern is introduced to realize the communication between dispatching room and single or multiple locomotives, which contains the precise location and speed information sent from locomotives to dispatching room, and the locations of all locomotives and states of all switches sent from dispatching room to each locomotive. Furthermore, the dispatching room has point-to-point voice communication with single locomotive and broadcasting voice communication with multiple locomotives.Finally, the transport monitor system for coal mine lane is developed. In combination with analysis of the interlocking relationship in the signal centralized and locking system and implementation method of vehicle positioning, remote control of switches and wireless communication, a scheduling algorithm is presented to realize semi-automation shunting. The system was successfully applied in a coal mine in Heilongjiang Province and passed acceptance. The results show a good and stable working performance, which meets the prescriptive specifications.
