Research On The Measurement Technology Of Tooth Surface Error Of Worm Gear

Worm gear is the mechanical parts which are widely used in industry,flexible transmission direction and extremely high transmission efficiency and many other advantages make the worm gear occupies a very important position in the field of mechanical transmission.The quality of worm gear tooth surface determines the quality of transmission movement,so it is particularly important for the error detection of worm gear tooth surface.The measurement of gear tooth surface error is a method to measure and evaluate the overall topography error of worm gear tooth surface,and the accurate conclusion of tooth surface topography error can be obtained through the measurement of tooth surface error.In this paper,the measuring technology of worm gear tooth surface error is studied,the measuring software of worm gear tooth surface is developed and the measuring work of worm gear tooth surface error is completed.The main contents include:First,using the gear meshing principle to analyze the spatial motion relationship of worm gear pair,and combining the theory of space coordinate transformation,the mathematical model of worm gear tooth surface is established,and the equation of worm gear tooth surface is deduced.And extract the characteristic curve on the tooth surface to verify the correctness of the theoretical solution.Secondly,the scheme of measuring the tooth surface error of worm gear is made,including the mesh division of tooth surface,the radius compensation of the probe,the transformation and unification of coordinate system,the derivation of error calculation formula and the path planning of measurement,etc.Thirdly,based on Microsoft Visual C software,a worm gear tooth surface measurement software is developed and debugged for CNC gear measuring center.Finally,this subject completes the measurement of the tooth surface error of the worm gear sample on the CNC gear measuring center,and according to the obtained tooth surface error report,the feasibility of measuring the tooth surface error in this paper is verified by comparing the precision grade of the worm gear in the process of production and processing.
