For the advanced manufacturing engineering, NC machining simulation technology is one of the important research fields. As the improving of Fanuc, Siemens and Mitsubishi in these aspects, the domestic CNC must redouble their efforts. The five-axis CNC machining simulation technology has been studied in this paper based on CATCH NC210and DMG DMU70V five-axis CNC machine tool of our company.The main contents are as follows:(1) The simulation model of DMU70V is established via the researching of this machine tool's structure and UG system function by mearns of3D function of UG.(2) The UG system is developed secondly to assembly tools, parts and fixtures with UG/OPEN Manuscript language and Microsoft Visual C++6.0. The NC codes are read into the CATCH CNC machine tool and interpreted to execute the three-dimensional motion simulation of part's cutting process. Any perspective can be transform in the simulation process which is conducive to observe the spatial location of machine components, and test the interference, collision and of cut off of parts among cutting tool, machine components, parts and fixture. The interference entity is generated and interference information is outputted to provide the basis for the change of tool position.(3) The post-processing techniques of DMU70V five-axis CNC machine are studied. The algorithms of post-processing and reverse post-processing are given in the two types of structures of machine. The post-processing and reverse post-processing algorithms are given and these algorithms can directly transform a certain cutting.(4) Machining simulation experiments of impeller are made in the DMU70V five-axis CNC machine tool to verify the accuracy, portability and processing efficiency of NC codes generated by the CATCH NC210system, and the engineering practicability in this machine.The stage research results in this paper has been verified in DMU70V axis CNC machine tools with CATCH NC210CNC system, it has a certain practical significance to further explore the functions of CATCH CNC system and promote the development of the national brand of CNC.
