At present, the level of the furniture consumption per capita is still low. People's living level is continuously increasing in our country, so is the furniture consumption. At the same time, furniture production enterprise, furniture sells and shops set up all around the country. Furniture logistics distribution doesn't develop synchronously in the city which bring about a lot of problems. Furniture distribution center has a messy layout, and its efficiency is very low. So far, some city didn't establish furniture distribution center. Competition between furniture enterprises is unusually fierce. It must find a new breakthrough point to gain a competitive advantage. Distribution center is an important bridge of furniture enterprise, furniture sells and shops. Therefore, searching city furniture logistics distribution center layout has a great significance. It promote the city economic development,"two type society" construction and city green logistics.Firstly, the background and significance of the study were introduced and distribution center and distribution center location home and abroad were analyzed based on summarizing the literature of variety. Based on distribution center theory, distribution center location theory and method, distribution center layout theory, paper have researched city furniture logistics demand,layout and city furniture logistics's present situation. On this basis, the problems were proposed. At last, the thesis mainly established the single and multiple furniture logistics distribution center location model which was solved using the centre-of-gravity method.This research plans to use scientific analysis method of the city furniture logistics distribution center layout and then find out the optimal location position and solve the problems in furniture logistics distribution center, such as improplselection of distribution center location, high transportation costs, traffic jams. Although abundant research results have been gained for distribution center and distribution center location, research for furniture logistics distribution center layout problems is extrordinaryly poor. Thus, it is necessary for scholars to make further targeted study.
