With the development of modern industrial technology,the processing performance requirement of the CNC machine tools is increasingly highly. Maching capability is closely correlation with machine's dynamic and static capability. Thus, only provided with a good static stiffness would no longer satisfy the needs of machine tool design.As an important brace of the machine tools, the lathe bed supports the headstock, tool post and others'important components. The dynamic and static characteristic of the lathe bed structure directly influence the machining accuracy and production efficiency of the machine tools. At present, the lathe brace's design generally depend on empirical design, the dynamic and static characteristics analysis on effection of low order natural frequency was considered less. Heavy large nc lathe bed fixed with anchor bolt has the box structure of stiffened plate in general. The distribution of the stiffened plate and the anchor bolt in the lathe bed effect the static and dynamic capability of lathe bed. The reasonable choice of stiffened plate and the anchor bolt distribution in lathe bed can improve the dynamic and static characteristics significantly.HTC 100 CNC lathe bed is taken as research object in this thesis and analyzed the factors which influence the bed dynamic and static characteristic. First, the finite element model of the lathe bed is builded. The model and statics analysis of lathe bed are carry out. The low modes of the bed's natural frequency and modal shape are obtained by model analysis. Through the static analysis, the lathe structure security and maximum distortion under various kinds of working conditions are investigated. Then, the prestressed modal analysis is executed to couple the results of static and model analysis, which obtained the weak area of the lathe bed. Based on the result of the static and prestressed modal analysis, optimization approaches to the lathe bed's rigidity is put forward. Finally, changing the number and location of anchor bolts on the weak stiffness area of the lathe bed, the optimization scheme of the lathe bed is designed and analyzed. The analysis results show that increasing the number and arranging the position of anchor bolt reasonably on the weak stiffness area of the lathe bed, the dynamic and static characteristics of lathe bed can get a certain amount of improvement.Through this topic research, the reference on lathe bed stucture improvement can be provided for machine tool manufacturing companies, which has an important guiding significance for similar research method on characteristics of CNC heavy duty horizontal lathe bed.
