The printing industry as the base of national economy is turning to digital printing, withthe fast development of high-tech. Because of low cost and environment protection, thedigital inkjet printing is considered to be the main printing technology by people in the field.The"Twelfth Five-year Plan"make it clearly that developing high-speed inkjet printingsystem with independent intellectual property. Inkjet print head and ink supply system are thekey factors which ensure the continuity, reliability and high performance of high-speed inkjetprinting system. Patents of inkjet print head are monopolized by overseas, which makes thedevelopment of the print head hard and need long cycle. While the ink supply system which isequally important as the print head has a lower difficulty and less developed, which make iteasier that get a breakthrough in the development of ink supply system and get independentintellectual property, which is the initiative of the development of high-speed inkjet printing.Ink is the key factor of inkjet efficiency and quality. Although our country had greatprogress in the inkjet ink technology, still is short on key technique. Ink properties areinfluenced by environment greatly, which leads to a bad performance. The dissertation didsome work aimed at the demand of inkjet printing system as follows:1) Analyzed the principle of inkjet printing, especially the dynamic characteristic ofpiezoelectric drop jet. Analyzed the influence factors of inkjet printing quality, andthe principle that how ink characteristic influence the process of piezoelectric dropjet combined with fluid dynamics.2) Established the model of piezoelectric inkjet in Fluent. Analyzed the principle thathow ink characteristics influence the drop formation and inkjet quality. Obtained thebest range of ink viscosity for inkjet print head.3) Analyzed the structure parameters and physical properties of XAAR500 print head.Designed a ink supply system aimed at XAAR500 print head, which is aindependent subsystem based on 51 microcomputer, and Ensuring suitable inkcharacteristics and ink supply characteristics by well controlled ink temperature andnegative pressure, which ensures a good continuity, reliability and high performanceof high-speed inkjet printing system.The dissertation simulated the piezoelectric inkjet process by Fluent, and analyzed the principle that how ink characteristics influence the inkjet printing. The dissertation alsodesigned an ink supply system, which controls the ink characteristics well, and enhances theperformance of high-speed inkjet printing. The ink supply system has a good performance inpractical application.
