Optimization Of Traffic Organization And Simulation Evaluation Of Highway Work Zone

With the construction and development of freeway in recent years, freeway reconstruction is needed because some have not adapt to the increasing need of traffic volume. On the other hand, freeway daily maintenance and clearing is necessary. So, construction and maintenance of highway are becoming more and more frequently. In order to insure the safety of workers and vehicles, and enhance the service level of freeway work zone, and exert the function of freeway during the construction, the organization of freeway work zone is needed. Use Vissim software to make simulation of highway on traffic organization. According to the analysis of the result and the evaluation of the traffic organization plan, the highway traffic organization is optimized.The optimization and evaluation of traffic organization on highway work zone is studied on the four respect:the traffic characteristics of the work zone, the design of traffic organization, traffic simulation on highway work zone and study of evaluation system in this paper.Firstly, this paper presents different construction forms of high way work zone, and analyzes the traffic characteristics of workers, vehicle, road and traffic flow.Secondly, the principle of the traffic organization on the high way work zone is identified, and traffic organization on highway work zone is designed separately from construction length, limited speed, and the setup of traffic safety and management facilitiesThirdly, the process of traffic simulation system is established. According to different traffic organizations, establishes corresponding traffic simulation model, and reasonable evaluation system of traffic organizations on highway work zone and selects evaluation index.At last, use Vissim software to make traffic organization simulation with a practical example. According to the analysis and evaluation of different programmers, service level of highway work zones is compared and the best traffic organization is defined.
