With the rapid development of electronic science and technology, the technology of our radar weapons systems become more electronic, automatic and intelligent. The operational performance of weapon system has been improved greatly because of new technology, but the difficulty of automatic test and fault diagnosis has been increased, and the cost is more expensive. The research of automatic, universal testing system has become a hot topic.Firstly, the characteristics of many radar circuit boards were analyzed for the design of radar circuit board automatic test system.Secondly, some basic process of automatic test system hardware integration was described, including design requirements, the choose of bus, the choose of test equipment resources, the choose of system controller, the design of switch system, the design of mechanical and the design of thermal. As a very important part of the automatic test system hardware integration, the Interface Connect Adapter(ICA) which is a key component of automatic test system to test a variety of radar circuit board was introduced. ICA is the link between test instruments resources and radar circuit board which need to be tested. Users need to design a right Interface Test Adapter(ITA) match to ICA. The problem of universal testing system has been solved by the design of ICA, and a number of circuit board can share a set of diagnostic systems, thereby maintenance costs was reduced.At last, a fault detection of a radar circuit board has been completed. The principle of the circuit board was analyzed, the test strategy and the Test Program Set(TPS) of the circuit board was also completed. The testing data prove the design of ICA is success.The data of experiment proved the correctness and practical feasibility of the Interface Connect Adapter Strategy.
