The Study Of The Spatial Layout Of The Public Service Facilities During The Update Process Of Zaozhuang

One of the rational distributions of urban public service and facilities is a vital element of a harmonious society, the number of the construction status and spatial distribution related to the efficiency and quality of the city. On the base of dramatic economic development in the global view, a number of cities in China try to take the advantage of Renewal Movement, which would re-integrate public resources and make a smooth adaptation of public services and facilities. As a result, it could promote the system transit from a comprehensive management one to the service one.Recently, the research of spatial distribution of urban public services in China is at the initial stage. Major parts of studies of public service concern the community public service facilities as the main direction, and most of them analyse it on the angle of marketing field, according to a number of data. Moreover, it would not evaluate the urban public services and facilities due to the researches focused on education, health care and others individually, which would ignore the relationship of various types of public services and facilities.This dissertation takes the downtown of Zaozhuang city in Shandong and emphasizes the interests of people in the dynamic distribution of public facilities. Firstly, it analyses the problems of public facilities spatial arrangement during the urban renewal process by researching the facilities'distribution of Zaozhuang downtown and collecting the basic information. Secondly, by using the questionnaires with clear direction to communicate with the residents and relevant data, the dissertation summarizes that the issue of public service of Zaozhuang could be in three aspects, which are unbalanced spatial arrangement in different regions, disunity in the construction and project management by different subjects, and the quantity and spatial arrangement are the disadvantage for socail development. In addition, the existing problems could be result form three factors, which are the quantity of pubilc facilities resources, government's strategic, and demographic structure and composition. Finally, it would propose three suggestions, as a conclusion, about improving spatial arrangement of public facilities during urban renewal progress.According to data from space models, related software analysis and the quantitative research method, this dissertation analyse the public services and facilities in the view of people's actual demand, the possibility of subjectivity and objectivity. Moreover, in order to improve the renewal process of small-medium cities in China, the dissertation, as the references, could be valuable for public services in the progress of urbanization.
