Power system planning both to the normal operation of the entire power system, but also related to the electric power industry is to achieve sustainable development. In the network planning to determine the location of the substation is a crucial aspect. The results directly affect the entire grid network, power grid safety and reliability of operation and the economic benefits of investment. Scientific and rational way to determine the location of substations and power range, the system can effectively reduce the phenomenon of cross-regional cross-power to improve power system management and operation efficiency.This article analyzes the research background and status of foreign-related research, overview the relevant theory of substation site, which describes the purpose of the substation site, meaning, principles and procedures, and focuses on optimal evaluation methods of substation location; then analyzed various factors of the south of Chengde city 220KV substation location in order to build a 220KV substation south of Chengde city site evaluation index system and established Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on AHP and entropy weight for Comprehensive Weight; Finally, analysis network status of Chengde City and Chengde city South 220KV Substation Project Overview and building the basis of need, use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model established conducted a comprehensive evaluation in the three options of Chengde city south 220KV substation, after the calculate we get that the first program is the optimal solution.Through the research we found that how to choose a reasonable location of distribution substations, the scientific and rational planning on substation sites, have a significant impact on ensure the rationality and power system safety and reliability of operation and economy. This paper studies have a practical significance on meet the needs of the local load development and to enhance regional power supply reliability and optimize regional 220kV, 110kV network.
