The bogie is an important component of Straddle-Type Monorail vehicle, the bogie frame is a structural component that can together the traveling wheel, stabilizing wheel, steering wheel, basis braking, body suspension system, traction system and collector mounting device etc. It is a major load component of vehicle; its function decided the quality of vehicle operation and safety. The strength and stiffness of frame will affect the life of the vehicle bogie, the running stability of vehicle and the comfortable of the passengers. The high cycle fatigue damage caused by the form of random loads can damage the bogie. In order to ensure the safety of vehicle, it is necessary for frame to analyze the strength, modal and fatigue life.In this paper, the bogie of Straddle-Type Monorail vehicle in Chongqing No.2 light rail is researched, 3D molding and motion simulation to bogie is finished on the virtual assembly; the finite element analysis model of the bogie frame is established. According to the actual situation of Straddle-Type Monorail vehicle, combination of load conditions of frame is defined and the load of frame is analyzed; the frame's structural strength is analyzed by finite element analysis software in the six conditions. At the same time, structure strength is evaluated by the criteria of strength. Through modal analysis, the natural frequency and vibration mode of is obtained. The design of the frame is reasonable. Load-time circle of process is gained by the method of in the multi-body dynamics simulation during movement of frame, Based on that analysis the fatigue life of frame is predicted by the total life fatigue analysis. The location of the node that life expectancy is shortest is found, the fatigue life of this node is longer than the using life of frame. The design of the frame is fit to the requirement.
