Currently, countries in the world suffer from worsening traffic problems. In this context, the combination of vehicles and roads, the use of computers, modern communications and automatic control and other modern high-tech ideas to solve the traffic problem arises spontaneously, that is intelligent transportation system (ITS, Intelligent Transportation System). Electronic Toll Collection (ETC, Eleetronie Toll Colleetion) as intelligent transportationsystems is an important area of research and application areas, by road side unit andautomotive electronics Dedicated Short Range Communication between the tags, do not need the driver to stop and charge people to take any action Circumstances, theauto-complete the entire process of handling charges. Alleviate traffic congestioncanbeachieved to improve the road capacity and vehicle efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear, reduce emissions, save energy and protect the environment.With the help of high-speed toll collection projects in Fujian, the agreement based on DSRC ETC applications, put forward a complete set of OBU and RSU system architecture design. And the composition of the ETC system, equipment, technical indicators was described in detail. Finally, DSRC-ETC system was tested.
