Middle school is the main place in adolescent's life and study, and because of carries profound cultural connotation, making the middle school be a showground for the regional culture characteristics in the locality. Given the school's own education history and the differences in areas where each middle school located, so every seminary should have it own unique historical culture connotation and schoolyard landscape different from other schools. In recent years, our country met the middle school construction upsurge, and yield effective results. But a number of middle schools whose landscape design affected by globalization assimilation effects, and blindly followed the western design, led the landscape design and style to a growing convergence in there. These reduced the lack of personality school culture, and middle school teachers and students couldn't obtain much experience of the local culture in school which is their main life area, further bringing about people's belonging and identity decrease. Meanwhile, with the globalization providing abundant product for our material world and creating a new era spirit, the different between cities is becoming more and more similar, regional culture characteristics in slowly disappears. Therefore, when learning and absorbing the advanced science and technology toady, we also should to pursue the regional cultural protection, regeneration and to create.So, the fact which rooted in local culture and made the schoolyard landscape become a really inheritance carrier of the city regional cultural, appearing to be a kind of thoughts and methods in order to creating regional characteristic of the place, and turn into the kernel on the new era we build modern middle school landscape. This article is unfolded from the present existing problems of middle school, combined with the practice of regional culture of schoolyard landscape design. Referenced plenty of literatures, comprehensively analyzed the historical evolution of domestic and international middle school, directed at middle school environmental factors did a study, which used the process of the longitudinal and transverse comparative, then, summarized the exact make up of middle school landscape of the time, and the future development trend. That is more ecological, humanization, and individuation. Following, discussed probe into those causes of middle school carrying regional characteristic, based on the knowledge level and in view of physical geographic environment, social culture and campus history three perspectives; And selected live middle school settled in Chengdu city or surrounding areas, and Beichuan middle school to be this survey research respondents, adopted on spot investigation and questionnaire survey two type methods. Fowling these results, the work mainly researched and analyzed embodied ways of the regional cultural features in middle school campus landscape, and middle school teachers and students cognitions degree about the city in where they growing and living and it's regional cultural features; Then, it was concluded that the middle school's carrier of regional culture, including three aspects: native elements, artificially elements and space elements; Through statistic analyzed investigation questionnaire results data, the results was reflecting middle school teachers and students to the regional cultural requirements status. At last, on the basis of the above work, submitted ideas and methods on rich expression of regional cultural features in modern middle school landscape, include:reflecting regional cultural characteristics; inheriting the school campus own cultural; protecting and reusing of the native ecological environment; the design concept about strengthening teachers and students'sense of belonging to the middle schoolyard; Finally, this article is ended in Beichuan middle school campus landscape design practice, through it for further explanation.
