Research And Application Of Integrated Substation Automation System Based On Communication Manager

In recent years, the expansion of computer technology improved the development of automation technology of power system, and the technology of substation integrated automation became more mature. As a result, the application of digitized substation could be seen in the near future. digitized substation is an important topic of further development of the substation. This new technology on substation not only accelerates communication based on conventional substation automation, but also economizes investment on manpower and material resources.This paper introduces features and functions of the traditional substation automation system, analyzes technical problems and other defects of the conventional substation, brings up the idea of digitized substation, and discusses the prospect of digitized substation. First, this paper introduces the current situation of integrated automation system of Bazhou's Grid, and determines the significance of establishing digitized substation. Second, based on communication manager, this paper details the design of substation integrated automation system, and highlights advantages of two ways on Primary network and alternative network. Third, this paper discussed the application of communication manager in integrated automation system of Bazhou Grid and its role in solving the problem of conventional integrated automation system. Forth, through the practical use of communication manager in substations, this paper illustrates the advantages of this advice, and made an in-depth analysis of the application of this system combined with local power supply circumstance and load distribution in Bazhou area. Finally, based on Chinese mode of substation integrated automation and on several technical issues at the present stage, this paper puts forward the prospect of this technology.With the application of integrated automation system based on communication manager in Bazhou Grid, the information processing function of the substation will be perfected, the module function will be dependent, and the communication protocol will be completely unified. On the whole, the application of communication manager in substation integrated automation will accelerate the construction of digitized substation in Bazhou Grid.
