| In recent years, economic development and increase in public awareness of human environment have brought unprecedented prosperity to landscape industry. A large number of designs emerged in domestic landscape industry, but many of them follows formality or respect for functional requirements, or just pursue economic efficiency, thus the works lack of aesthetics, neglect site, break with tradition even at the expense of the environment. Therefore, it is an important condition for an excellent design to reflect the meaning and concept in it.Establishment of the concept is equal to the building of basic design framework, which can ensure the unity and integrity of design style, rather than patchwork of fragmental ideas, and it is particularly important for the design.Landscape concept design is an experimental exploration of problem solving in the landscape industry, which focuses on the thinking at the formative stage of concept design, as well as the abstract and divergent thinking ability of designers.This paper got the effective information about the concept designs by analying the representative works.Next,it studyed the formation stage of concept designs in depth,summed up the source of creative of designer.And then, it established the thought model of landscape concept designs by analying actual cases and ideas.The last,it got the effectively guiding thought about landscape concept designs.1.
