In recent years, with the growth of the volume of the traffic, aggravation of axis and canalization of traffic, the asphalt pavement is prone to produce rutting. The asphalt pavement rutting disease has become a hot and difficult question in domestic and international research. High Modulus Asphalt Concrete as a new material,has a better rutting resistance and the excellent anti-rutting performance。High Modulus Asphalt Concrete has been increasingly applied to pavement construction in foreign countries. Combination climate of traffic and structure characteristic of the road in China,High Modulus Asphalt Concrete has been comprehensive and in-depth research.In this paper, we focus on the technical requirements of materials made for High Modulus Asphalt Concrete, in order to meet the High Modulus Asphalt Concrete functional requirements. Conduct laboratory tests to determine the Marshall Test Parameters. Based on laboratory tests and calculations analysis, the results show that in Marshall Performance indicators, the High Modulus Asphalt Concrete is better than ordinary asphalt concrete. Get the maximum theoretical density formula for High Modulus Asphalt Concrete. By Marshall Test and analysis, obtained the Marshall Volume Parameters and determined the optimum asphalt content under different content of asphalt mixtures,the best ratio of Asphalt in High Modulus Asphalt mixture is increased from 0.1% to 0.3% with the Basic Asphalt mixture. Summarize an optimum High Modulus Asphalt Concrete ratio suit for our country to apply and promote. Finally, by laboratory experiments and mathematical statistical analysis of high temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance, water stability and mechanical properties, to demonstrate the road performance advantage of High Modulus Asphalt Concrete.
