With the growth of the volume of the traffic,aggravation of axis,canalization of traffic and continuity of high temperatures,the rutting of asphalt pavement has become one of the most serious early damage.The performance of rutting resistance is the hot and tough issues on the field of asphalt pavement at home and abroad.High Modulus Asphalt Concrete(HMAC) as a new material,has the excellent antirutting performance.Combination climate of traffic and structure characteristic of the road in China,begin to study from the material composition and performance in the highway engineering having an important practical significance.Firstly,for the functional requirements of the HMAC,advances the technical requirements for its raw materials.Based on the specificity of the modified mechanism of the PR/RA,through the quantitative research on the laboratory test and the Marshall test parameters,educing the test parameters for the HMAC,hasing a certain significance on-site construction.Secondly,based on the laboratory tests and calculations analysis,calculation formula for theoretical maximum density of the HMAC brought.Compared a variety of the best oil content of mixture,the HMAC of the best fuel mixture than the base asphalt to increase 0.1% ~0.3%.Verification of the performance in the Marshall design method,the increase in the mechanical testing indicators has been proposed.And summarized for applications and the promotion a set of the HMAC method of mix design in our country.Thirdly,Compared laboratory test and statistical analysis to study the performance of the HMAC.Through the system analysis of its high temperature stability,deformation properties, low temperature crack resistance and water stability,verified of its advantages road performance.Analysis of the static modulus changing with sensitivity of the temperature, reaching a higher relevance.Through the regression analysis between evaluation index of high temperature and static modulus,come to reliability of Marshall stability and Marshall modulus of HMAC for high-temperature performance evaluation.According to the modifier's rational economic content,from the material point defined standard modulus of the HMAC.Lastly,the construction techniques and quality control methods of the HMAC has been educed with the entity pilot project paved,in order to provide a basis and reference for promoting of HMAC.
